Rupert Damerell

Based in Madrid since 2002, Rupert Damerell combines an international musical career with teaching and writing. He directs the Semana Internacional de Canto in Ávila, which he founded in 2011, and has co-directed the Tallis Scholars Summer Courses with Peter Phillips since 2013. He also leads the Zenobia Summer Course, an introductory course in Renaissance choral singing.
His current ensembles are the professional group Quondam and Coro Zenobia, formerly Coro EOI. Through performances, courses and collaborations, his work brings musicians together around attentive listening and a shared exploration of the repertoire.
His poetry, fiction and drama are presented at Zenobia Editions.
